Lawrence is a great community! I have re-located twice to Lawrence, because I wanted to live here & by doing so created my own livelihood (as this wasn't an employer relocation). I used to be a secondary educator in the Wichita, KS area & moved here as I was so impressed with the friendliness, "downtown Lawrence" & the topography. I AM unique in that I know real estate from many angles: former partner of custom home building business; residential, farm & commercial appraiser; property & casualty insurance agent (I owned agencies in Lawrence & Indianapolis, IN); & recently the general contractor of our own home!
RELOCATION? I have "high mileage"! I survived a spousal corporate relo to "Indy" (Indianapolis); but then again, back to Lawrence by choice, "there's no place like home...Kansas".
